Welcome to the Cherry County Fair

The Cherry County Fair and Rodeo is held in August at the Cherry County Fairgrounds, located on Green Street. Check the Schedule of Events for the dates.

Our youth have so much to be proud of, and you'll be proud of them too, as they showcase their talents with award winning animals, photography, sewing, wood-working, and many other character building endeavors with their 4-H entries...there are even Lego entries!

There are also the open class entries that include: flowers, canning, vegetables, beautiful quilts and needle work. The Sandpainter's Art Guild also holds an art show. All of this is displayed in the air-conditioned 4-H Building.

A new pavilion hosts vendors selling wares, sharing information about their products, and local musicians to entertain those milling about.

As the evening hours settle in, the lights are turned on for the rides as kids line up to get their thrills; others line up for the summer's finest cotton candy, funnel cakes, and carney food.

During the week of the fair, there is a parade and afterwards, Miss Rodeo Cherry County is crowned. She will reign for a year and be there for the opening ceremonies of the Cherry County Rodeo!!! If you're a true grit cowboy, cowgirl, or wanna-be, this is the place for you to be!

Cherry County Fair is a send-off to summer as school has either begun or will very shortly. What a fine way to catch up with family, friends, and neighbors...at the Cherry County Fair and Rodeo!
